Southpark (“South Park”) contra Scientology

Spannende Entwicklung in Sachen Southpark vs. Scientology: Jerome „Chef“ (bzw. Chefkoch) McElroy-Sprecher Isaac Hayes, Mitglied in der Sekte Scientology, kündigte im März  seinen Vertrag, nachdem eine „South Park“-Folge Scientology thematisiert hatte. Nun satteln die South Park-Produzenten erfreulicherweise noch mal drauf: die Zeichentrickserie hat sich über den Sänger und seinen Scientology-Glauben lustig gemacht und seine einst beliebte Figur "Chefkoch" in der ersten Folge der neuen Staffel umgebracht. Als Strafe dafür, dass McElroy "süße Liebe" mit Kindern machen möchte (ChefKoch wird in jener Folge als "Pädo" dargestellt). Gut, dass das populäre TV-Format dieses Tabu-Thema aufgreift und sich nunmehr deutlich genug gegen pädophile Verbrecher positioniert! – - – P. For all english speaking friends: South Park gets revenge on Chef – South Park has exacted revenge on its former star Isaac Hayes by turning his character Chef into a paedophile and seemingly killing him off. The tenth season of the show kicked off on March 22 in America with Chef being struck by lightning, impaled on a branch, shot, mauled by a mountain lion, had his legs ripped eaten by a bear, his face bitten off, and his corpse told it would "have made a good child molester".- And I do think it was stupid that Hayes quit the show over them making fun of his religion. All it did was prove how much of a hypocrite he is. Why is it okay to make fun of other religions but not his own? Ah well. Darn that fruity little club!
